Nottingham Trent Pre-16 opportunities, programmes and support are designed to allow young people to explore Higher Education as an option and are completely free.
University may seem a long way off but it’s never too soon to start thinking about what you might want to do in the future. Our free programmes are here to help support you with your uni application process when the time comes.
You can find out more and the eligibility requirements by following the links in this article or visiting our website www.ntu.ac.uk/community
Opportunity 1: Saturday Art Club
Do you consider yourself as a young creative? Or maybe you would like to explore what creativity means for you? Saturday Art Club gives you the opportunity to try your hand at a range of different creative techniques. Our main goal is to give you the opportunity to get involved in a subject you LOVE, free of charge, at your local university.
Previous projects have included GIF creation, animation, photography, ceramics, sculpture, self-portraits, mask making and more.
Applications for Autumn are launching in September 2021.
We are operating on a first-come first served basis. Please visit the link above to find out more and apply.
Opportunity 2: NTU Work Experience Placement Scheme
The NTU Work Experience Scheme gives you the opportunity to find out what the world of work is really like, learn new transferrable skills and have a great time too. Over the years, hundreds of young people have enjoyed their week of work experience at Nottingham Trent University, developing their skills and building confidence for when they apply for their first job.
